Heading towards Hyden and Wave Rock today. Hyden was much smaller than I thought it would be. Expected to see a bustling little tourist town right near Wave Rock but no. In the main street there were sculptures made out of all sorts of weird and wonderful materials. They looked pretty good actually.....Camped at the Wave Rock Resort, which is stretching reality a tad to call it a "resort" nevertheless it was quite pleasant. Went for a walk up and around the rock, really loved it. There were lots of wildflowers along another walk called "Hippos Yawn" which is a walk to a huge rock shaped like a Hippo yawning. On the top of Wave Rock there were flowers that looked like a wreath flower, not as pretty as the ones near Pindar though. Happy hour with the rest of the group and tomorrow heading towards Ravensthorpe. Really glad we made the diversion through Hyden to see Wave Rock, it was a highlight....
