Day 30 Point Samson CP to Miaree pool (10.9.09)

Going into Karratha for a look around before heading down to Miaree Pool which is a free camp 28k south of Karratha. Arrived at Miaree Pool and unfortunately there was nowhere for 4 caravans to camp!!!! So, after much deliberation, we propped in a paddock back from the pool along a track that went up to a high point that had a magnificent 360 degree view. Went for a swim in the pool which was just fantastic. Headed back into Dampier for a look around and decided to bring the vans back to Dampier tomorrow for a couple of nights. There is a budget caravan park right on the esplanade for $22 a night - Not bad ......The night was beautiful. we all turned off our lights and watched the stars. Tonight is our last night together as a group. In the morning Lyn Kevin & Teri as well as Brian & Pam are all heading south. They still have lots to see before ending up at Brendas for Grand Final day. At the end of the day the camp was not so bad after all, Stars, a swim, great company and a view from the top of the hill to die for.....
