Day 18 KARIJINI NATIONAL PARK (29.8.09)

Lyn and Group say that the drive into Tom Price is really worthwhile.....magnificent scenery on the way in and a trip up to Mt.Nameless to finish off the day. So, we headed off. Tom Price itself is just a mining town, as was told to us by the assistant in the TI.....very strange!!! Anyway, we took off to Mt.Nameless and it is nothing short of spectacular. 4WD only and very steep but at the top it was 360degree views over the Mt.Tom Price mine, Tom Price township and trains full of ore that stretched for over 2km. Mt.Nameless is the highest auto access in WA, 1700 metres high. Tried to find some Aboriginal carvings but wasn’t successful. Lyn and mob did the walk into Dales Gorge today and took over 4 hours to complete. Tonight we are all hitting the sack early – very tired....
