Day 9 Newman Rocks to Kalgoorlie (20.8.09)

Leisurely drive from Newman Rocks into Kalgoorlie today (354kms). Stopped at Coolgardie on the way to have a look at the Museum. Very interesting. Kalgoorlie for 2 nights. Catch up time, washing, shopping and generally getting ready for the next leg. Stayed in this Caravan Park with Mum & Dad and Maree & Paul the last time we came over to WA in 2005. The others are having a look at "The Pit" and also catching up on "chores". Maree & Paul went for a swim and we did a 50min walk. We are going to be so fit by the time we get back, no one will recognise us. Barry is fighting fit and is looking really well...... :) A couple of pictures of the really big rigs that you see on the Nullabor. When one of the bigger ones approach you, you need to pull over and actually stop to let them pass.......
