Day 12 Menzies to 51km S of Leinster (23.8.09)

Left Menzies and headed out to Niagara dam which is a free camp. Heaps of wildflowers and an interesting walk around the dam. From there we headed 10km along a dirt road to Kookynie. Not much there but an interesting old pub. Took photos and had a beer. Heading to Leonora where we may stay the night. Wandered around Gwalia which is a Historic Site, So far I have taken about 300 photos, but unfortunately I cant put them all up on the blog until I work out how to do a link to my folders........Leonora was closed so we continued on. Now travelling towards Leinster, had lunch in the van at the Museum which also has Hoover House. Stopped at Jaguar Mine on the way to vist with a friend (Tony) of Lyn & Kevin's daughter. He took us for a tour of the mine which was absolutely fascinating. Found a free camp 51km south of Leinster at the back of a parking area. Another great camp and roast frenched lamb shanks for dinner - beautiful.
