Had a reasonably easy drive today, left Ceduna with no wind and headed for the Yalata West Rest Area which his only 21kms West of Yalata. On the way stopped to have a look at the windmills at Penong. Morning tea at Nundroo especially for Maree & Paul. On our last trip to WA they did a wheel bearing in the Discovery just before Nundroo and was towed there. They had to spend 4 days waiting for a part to arrive and were totally traumatised by the experience. So, I did a sign that said "Welcome back Maree & Paul" and stuck it on the till for when they came in to pay for their petrol. The guy behind the counter thought it was hilarious and even gave them a sticker which has something about breaking down in Nundroo which was very appropriate!!! The camp at Yalata West was great, about 700m off the road and lots of wood for the camp fire. Sat around the fire and cooked a roast - Yummy also made a bread and butter pudding. Tomorrow morning we are heading to The Head of The bight to see the Whales. Apparently there are about 80 so by all accounts it should be great.
